World Lusovini

Internationalization - World Lusovini

Since our genesis, we at Lusovini have recognized the importance of the international markets as a platform to communicate Portuguese wines. Initially, for historical and cultural reasons, we have focused on Portuguese-speaking countries, establishing Lusovini Angola (Luanda), Brasvini (São Paulo), and Mozamvini (Maputo). After attaining a stable path in these markets, the challenge became to grow and explore other distant markets influenced by the Portuguese culture: the United States of America and the countries of the Far East (Asia), with China as the backbone.

Angola - Lusovini Angola

The relationship between Portugal and Angola dates back to the mid-15th century. Angola has deep business ties with Portugal. Portuguese wine plays an important role in the commercial relationship between the two countries. We started Lusovini Angola, intending to narrow the interrelations between Portugal and Angola and to provide a close service to the Angolan consumer. Lusovini Angola currently covers the entire Angolan territory, distributing wines from Namibe (South) to Cabinda (North). We have a "showroom" open seven days a week to the public in Luanda, Talatona-Camama area (location link), where our different wines can be tasted at any time.

Mozambique - MOZAMVINI

Mozambique is a historical country for the world's trade routes since Vasco da Gama arrived in 1498 on the island of Mozambique. The country has never left the heart of the Portuguese, having the life of the two peoples remained interconnected until today. Like the Portuguese language, Portuguese wines are still part of the day to day life of the Mozambican people. When we at Lusovini launched Mozamvini, –the first distributor solely focused on the distribution and service of Portuguese wines to operate in Mozambican territory – we also initiated a long-term project of valuing consumer habits, by investing in training, both of professionals, as well as of the general public. Mozamvini’s "showroom" in Maputo, Avenida Comandante Moura Brás, has a training space, where the Mozambican consumer is provided with the best advice in Portuguese wines.

USA - Lusovini USA

The notoriety of Portuguese wines has grown much throughout the world in the 21st century, but it is in the United States of America that recognition of its exceptional price-quality ratio has been more evident. The United States is the market with the most potential for Portuguese wines. Therefore, we established Lusovini USA and initiated its activity in the states of New Jersey and New York. Shortly thereafter, the American magazine Wine Enthusiast, one of the largest wine magazines, chose Pedra Cancela Winemaker’s Selection Red, one of our Dão wines, as the 7th best 2015 World Choice in wines sold at less than $15. The Wine Spectator, a reference magazine in the Wine World, chose the Pedra Cancela RESERVA White (Malvasia Fina-Encruzado) 2014 as "one of the treasures of the white wines of Portugal".

Asia - Lusovini Asia

The Orient is the world's largest market and will continue to be in the future. Since 2013, we have been developing commercial connections in the countries of the Far East. In 2016, we decided to open a representation office in Macau to work as a logistical base for the commercial team that, from then on, works daily the different markets in China and other Asian countries. In these markets, we assist our importers/representatives, with the same multifaceted service that distinguishes us in the Portuguese-speaking markets and the United States.
